Artist Statement

My work begins with photography as a means of observing reality. I photograph with a DSLR camera, focusing on precise composition, light, and detail as the foundation of each image. These photographs serve as raw material—starting points rather than finished documents.

Through an intensive post-production process, I transform these images using professional retouching tools and AI-based technologies. I manipulate space, texture, and atmosphere to construct imaginary scenes that sit between the real and the unreal. Rather than using digital tools to erase photographic truth, I use them to expand it, allowing each image to evolve into a narrative space shaped by memory, intuition, and speculation.

The final works are presented as small matted print compositions, with four photographs placed within a single frame. This format is central to my practice. By grouping images together, I create visual relationships and quiet tensions between them—repetition, contrast, and subtle variation become part of the storytelling. Each frame is intended to be read as one complete work rather than four separate images.

Through this process, I aim to merge traditional photographic practice with digital experimentation, creating intimate objects that invite slow viewing and imaginative engagement.
